Northwest High School is a public high school located in Justin, TX, and is part of the Northwest Independent School District (NISD). The school opened in 1949 and was the first high school in the district. Over the years, it has grown significantly, with various upgrades and expansions to serve the increasing number of students in the area.
Northwest High School offers a broad academic curriculum, including more than 60 course options and a strong Advanced Placement (AP) program for students seeking college-level classes. The school also features two standout programs:

The Creative Media Production Academy
The media program is especially well-regarded—its NHSTV student-run broadcast has been named the top high school live TV program in the Southwest U.S. for two years in a row.
Students at Northwest High can get involved in a wide range of extracurriculars, from clubs and fine arts to sports. The school’s athletic teams, known as the Texans, compete in UIL Class 6A, the highest level for Texas high schools. Sports include football, basketball, soccer, track and field, and more.
